Yeah something like that. He's a big vette buff, and I really wasn't paying attention.

What happened to the classic Vette pop-up lights in the front?
Cost effective. Just $1000 less you have to spend.

It looks like the back hasn't changed much, center still looks like a Viper wanabe, and the front is a sweet change. Ferrarish or not.
I look forward to seing them in my rearveiw mirror

Me thinks it is a BIG Viper wanabe.....

I thought the C6 was really going to be something....

Evidently the boys at GM couldn't come up with an original idea...

Seriously, couldn't they have at least tried to make it different???
I put together this little pic....
In case you can't tell, the Vette is on top and the Viper below.

I think it looks great. Reminds me of the 68-71 corvettes. The next mustang isnt original either guys. I love hearing statements of "I can't wait to show it my tailights." Stock for stock the 'vette will be tons faster than an L.

PS: The "heat extractors" appeared on the 'vette decades before the first Viper rolled off the line. So who's copying who?

I don't see the lines of the Sting Ray... which is, by far and away, sitting atop my list of vehicles that I want to own....

1967 Sting Ray... removable hard top... Yellow.

Amen, dude. When the Mustang and the Vette came out they became legends because they were different from everything that came before them. The modern ones strike me as soul-less copies.

427 comes out to 7.0 even. 7.4 would be closer to a 454.

Cool, thanks.

Man, when was the last time that size V8 was put under a hood like that? Be nice if Ford anty up and put a large engine under the hood of the new Mustang in stead of supercharging what they already have. Like put it in the new Cobra, now that would be something.

The viper sure does look like the Vette, but lets think about this. the new C6 looks allot more like the C5 vette with minor changes and the C5 has been out for allot longer then the new viper so who copied what????? I think the dodge boys are morons cause the old vipers looked allot sweeter then this years viper. But thats typical of dodge.

Besides the vette is lighter weight, cheaper, more reliable, much better bang for the buck, less drag, more comfortable, and probably handles right up there with the viper. And whats stupid is that this is just the base C6, when the Zo6 comes out its going to be everything the viper is and more and then when its all said and done chevy is going to come out with the BLue devil to compete with the Ford GT!

Which if I could I would have a Ford GT in the stable insted of them all but I don't really have 140 grand to lay down and I can't really afford $2,000 a month car payments just yet, LOL!
