Talking '05 Mustang exposed!

Hey Mustang fans,

Check out the new issue of Motor Trend! There is the new mustang in color! Actual shots, not the spy shots. If I had a scanner I would post them, but there you go.

PS. Mine will be a GT 5-speed, red with white racing stripes and black and red leather!

Those are not the cars in Motor Trend. If anyone else has the magazine and scanner, post some pics for everyone else.

Kind of looks like a Stang mated with a Vet...

Saw two of them testing on Beverly Glen today. They were all done up with those weird black and white leopard spot covers they are usings now-a-days
Go here to see what I'm talking about

If That's what the interior looks like then all I can say is RETRO is getting way out of hand.

Those seats have mimicked the crummy surface of the old cheap vinyl, right down to the artifical crossstitch look of the seating area.

And those guages are just awful.

My first car was a 66 Mustang. Granted, they're classics now, but just because something is old doesn't mean it deserves to be brought back.

This is the 21 Century. What's up with designing things like it was the 60's? I lived thru the poor designs of the 60's...honest...it wasn't that great.

That interior is just plain ugly.

Well there are two things holding me back from getting an '05 'Stang-
1. I have an '03 Mach 1
2. When they hit the showroom floor, the price is going to be about 5-10k more than the '04s. Ford did the same thing with the T-bird and (if you paid attention) the '04 F150.

Sorry...But I couldn't disagree with you more. A lot of 60's vinyl was tough, durable stuff. I've owned many 60's cars and think that there's many advantages to vinyl. It's the new cloth interiors that I can't stand. They get dirty fast, they're hard to clean, they get burn holes easily...plus I'm sick of gray! With today's plastic technology, the vinyl should be better than ever.

I think that there were many 'great' designs in the 60's...That's why so many of them are sought after today. It was an exciting time to live in, and that was reflected in the automotive styling. I wouldn't have considered buying a Mustang after 1970...But now Ford has got me thinking!

I think that the new styling is sweet...But if I were Jay Mays, I would have done something different with the gauges...Maybe more like the concept.
