Lightnings are really nice and if I could afford one I would definitely own one....but sometimes you just have to be reasonable. If you really want a new truck check out the new '03's. Dealerships are really looking to get rid of them. I got one a couple months ago that had a sticker of $29,300 for $20,400 after getting invoice plus rebates. Plus, my truck listed for $9200 on KBB ('98 2wd Lariat) and they gave me just over $11000 for it. The deals are out there if you look for them and are willing to take a little time finding them.

BTW I liked my old truck but it was starting to have some minor problems (ford leather sucks BTW) and I just couldnt pass up a brand new truck for what I got it for.

Ohh...and when I was picking up my truck they had my old one on the lot with a sticker of $18500...I got a good laugh out of that one considering I only paid $18000 for it 3 years ago.

 

Traded my 02 fx4 lariat today to an 04 lariat 4x4 I got 26000 out of my old truck, I thought this was really good and the dealer had to order the truck I wanted.
