LOL@blackbeast.

This thread is bringing back a funny memory from my childhood.

25 years ago my dad gave my mom a piece of "exercise equipment for Christmas.

You stood on this platform, and connected this belt around your ****, then you turned the machine on, and it would move the belt in a back and forth motion, idea was to "massage" the fat off your ***.

HAHAHA, boy was my mom mad.
Funny thing, all us kids played with it all the time.
Felt kinda good from what I remember

For 20 years that thing was in the guest room where it was used to hang coats on it.

Every year, she returns EVERYTHING that I get her. Last year, I got her all gift certificates and she went postal....not enough thought.

For the first time in 15 years.....She told me what she wanted.

A Luis Viton bag. I looked it up on the internet.....$800.00....for a friggin hand bag. WFT. My sister was able to get it from a friend for $350.00.

Now I'll admit that I like high quality hunting gear and toys for the truck.....but $800.00, It's still a friggin hand bag no matter how you look at it.

Man, I don't like spending $20 on a purse. Then again I'm not a girly-girl. Oh well, the way I figure the less crap I buy for myself the closer I am to buying something for the Wood.

Habibi, when I read that first post where you were getting your wife a membership at a health club for a christmas present I laughed because I knew you were a dead man!

Borrow 'her' car one day and have a remote starter put in it.
$180 (Canadian) and will take about two hours.
(Every Canadian should have one)

I got that for my wife last year.
I didn't know what to get her this year until I read your thread.
I'm going to get her a Jane Fonda Workout Video.

Thanks man!

you sure the power button was in front of you when you turned that on, or did you have to reach behind you to hit it?

Glad you're rethinking the wifey's gift Habibi, you had a definite death-wish going for awhile there.

I'll second what Raoul said, remote start for her wheels would probably be a good idea. Just dont go with a cheap Bulldog or other no-name brand. Take a look at Compustar, AstroStart or Viper.

My truck will soon be getting a Compustar 1WFM, $265 U.S. installed. It has a range of about 1400 feet. Christmas gift to myself.

I would also suggest bun-warmers, heated seats that is, if her car doesnt allready have them. Dont know how much they run, but they install pretty easily by most quality custom shops.

Things that sparkle are always a hit, spa packages are a good choice too. I sent my other half to a day spa for her b-day this year, and topped it off with a date night. They did the whole body massage thing, manicure, pedicure, hair and makeup.

That night I had a relaxed, happy, hot lookin' date for dinner and a few drinks.

As for my other half; she's getting a CD changer put in her car, and some diamond earrings for good measure. With those little gems I'm guaranteed some Christmas Eve "fun." We need a dancing banana with a Santa suit on.

This will have to do...

I like the remote start idea, but for her it's just not practical.
Both our vehicles are garage parked anyway, so there's no real need when leaving home.
Secondly, from where she works, to where the staff parking lot is, the distance is too long for the starter to reach.

I will figure it out soon, I still have 2 whole days left to decide.

If you want to spend the big bucks on her then there is another possibility for remote start for when she is at work.

Compustar makes a 2 way Spread Spectrum starter unit with a range of about 6,000 feet...just over a mile. SS technology has been used for years by the military for secure communications.

With this unit comes a pager style remote, and unlike other one way models the unit in the car can "talk back to" the remote keychain unit. This is especially usefull when used with a security system, it can tell you what is happening with your car. But with the remote start it will tell you if you are in range, and will let you know when the car has started.

I got a quote of $515 installed, U.S. funds.

Not sure if this helps, or if even that is long enough range...just thought I would throw it out there. With 2 days left I figure you need all the help you can get. Oh well, dont feel too bad. I still need to actually BUY the gifts for my fiancee'... and I have absolutely no idea what to get yet for my parents and brother.

If it wasnt for the last minute, I wouldnt get anything done at all. :o
