I got a Sharpei puppy!

Her name is Lori, and here are some substandard pics of her. She's only 6 weeks old, so she's little, but she'll be bigger pretty soon, I'm sure.

Lightbulb

I used to have one too, mine did not handle the heat very well, the vet told me that you have to keep them bathed & powdered because all of those wrinkles will get sweaty in the heat and if you let it go, it will be sort of like a "heat rash". the hair will get thin in spots & she will STINK!!! I know... the hard way! Mine also had to have surgery on both eyes because the tear duct gland came out from under her eyelid and just sat there in the corner of her eyes. Hopefully yours won't need that. Not tryin to spook you, just FYI. My Shar-pei was a great dog, VERY protective, very obedient, and good w/kids. You have a cool dog, just remember... bath & powder or she will get FUNKY!

Anyway, it's not really a doobie, but one of those little white sticks that puppies chew on when they're teething. What's the name of the powder, I'll be sure and stock up!!

Not sure if I'm the only one, but ours in a major pain in the butt, and she's smart which makes it worse. Very stubborn to. I should add strange also.

Lately she has been getting snippy with us, but only when we give her a bath or if you try to kick her off the bed when she's sleeping. I have heard from many people that they start to turn more mean as they get older, so just watch.

On the other side, she a very very very protective dog.

Nothing scares her except a watergun or paper bag. But the vacuum cleaner stands no chance

She's also a snoop and likes to run around like an idiot.

Alot of the downsides that she has, we attribute that fact that she was abused when she was younger (by both owner and the owner had a second sharpei which was bigger then her).

Enjoy the puppy stage, next thing you know it will be this:

It looks like a wrinkly pig in the second pic.
I see the capt'ns dog doesn't stand up either.
Hey, if these things don't ever get up, why don't you guys get a stuffed one and save on dog food and stuff?
