From what it looks like, it is a reprint of the constitution which was written in 1776. The original consitution was handwritten and signed by a bunch of people...but this is obviously a printed book, which was printed in 1791, 15 years later. Although the book is approximately 212 years old, which indeed raises its value, it cannot be "the" original constitution. Wishful thinking for $50,000 is my guess...good luck to him.

The US Constitution we know and love was completed on September 12, 1787 and submitted to the states for ratification. The last one to sign up was Maryland on March 4, 1789. There being no such thing as a fax machine back then, it's entirely OK for it to be an original copy from 1791 as folks got the printing plates passed around.
USA declared independence from Great Britain on July 4, 1776. The colonies set about winning the war as a loose confederation, which was formalized as the Articles of Confederation and Perpetual Union, on November 17, 1777, but wasn't ratified until 1781 (some time in March, I think - sue me, it's 1 AM and I'm doing this from memory).

The "original" Constitution as we think of it is the version that wound up in Washington and is now in the National Archives.

I've learned more here in this post
Than all my years in School put together
Lots of mind altering drugs back in the school years,
But I do remember something about a constitution of something
