When I was a teenager one kid would fall down in the street to slow the cars down and a couple of others would grab the rear bumper and go Skitching, great fun till they hit a manhole cover or ran out of snow.

(Of course back then cars had real bumpers.)

Looks like they were having a great time......

When I was younger, a neighborhood father (late 50's, early 60's)would pull a bunch of us kids on a ladder behind his truck. Man, I remember that being a real trip and loads of fun...... Then later on, after some of us started driving, we moved to pulling old car hood behind our vehicles......Somehow, that all seemed safe then compared to what I see kids doing around here these days.

You can get hurt doing stuff like that. One kid I knew (sort of) was put in a coma when hit hit a rock under the snow while tubing up and down the road. I supposed that could happen doing any kind of sledding. Another sledding buddy of mine busted his teeth out when he failed a jump on a regualar sledding hill. What those kids were doing looked a bit safer in a parking lot.

Ahhh sledding.

I used to do that on my 4wheeler when I was younger, and do some bad *** dognuts, My girls dad used to do that with his one ton in one of there fields. A big parking lot like that is perfect for stuff like that. Some of those guys also had brain buckets and were falling into a nice soft looking snow burm.

One time 2 years ago at work one nite after we closed (a pizza hut rest.) we took the hose and got our parking lot all wet and after about 1/2 an hour we drove our cars on the ice patch, was at one far end and we parked the rest of our cars in a lot next door. the next day the boss opened and when he got there he fell and busted his *** because he was in a hurry, he took the hose.

Yeah, we called it bumper hitching. Fun & dangerous. Limped home a couple of times from that.

One time 3 or 4 of us tried to hitch a ride on back of a VW bug, bumper came right off

Other times we would have a buddy driving the car we were hitching, they would be fishtailing trying to shake us off.

Come to Jersey

And that looks like fun. Definately something I would have done in the younger days had I been smart enough to think of it.

We probably would have killed ourselves since we came close to garbage pale lids and hills anyways.
