I've seen someone doing similar with a Mustang. It's not a Chevy owner thing, it's an idiot thing. There's also the T/A with t-tops where the guys set cruise control, climb behind the car, and ski on their shoe soles.

I think I would do it with my bare feet so I could get a real good grip on that steering wheel... and put a rope around my neck so when I slipped off the steering wheel I could be imediately hung to death thereby avoiding the embarassment of proving myself to be ONE BIG FREAKING IDIOT!
