JFK remembered

Over the last couple of nights I have watched a couple news shows on the death of JFK.What a sad thing that was. I have often wondered what the world would be like if he had lived out his political career. I was in third grade when the news came over the PA. My third grade teacher put her head in her hands and cried, a moment I will never forget. That was the most defining moment for me until Sept. 11. Someday I would like to visit the eternal flame in Washington at the grave site.

Yeah, who knows how different things'd be had he lived. I dont

believe we'll ever know what really happenned that day in Dallas,

and maybe we dont want to know. Theres so many theories,

it'll always be a day shrouded in mystery.

Though i wasn't born till '77, I know my parents were both in

school that afternoon, and were sent home for the rest of the

day. I've visited the 6th floor museum once about 13 years ago

and it was creepy as hell!! We left it and drove down Elm street

in front of the old Depository building, talk about chills!!!

If you get Court TV, they are doing a special on the assassination tonight at 9PM. It's going to use all the newest forensic techniques and supposedly prove it was a single gunman in the School Book Depository Building in Dealey Plaza. (Something the Warren Commission did over 30 years ago without all the fancy computer generated smaltz.)
There's another with Peter Jennings on Thursday at 9PM on ABC

Kennedy was killed from a frontal shot, not from the depository. The movie JFK was the best example of this. Lee Harvey Oswald was a sharpshooter, not a marksman or expert. Everyone in the military is a sharpshooter, they are nothing special. Kennedys' head goes back and to the right, an obvious frontal shot, which killed him. Besides, Lee Harvey Oswald would've had to make the shot from the 6th floor through a tree that still had leaves on it. Totally impossible. Kennedy was in the process of pulling the US completley out of Vietnam. That's what got him killed.

Frank S,

So obviously you never heard the quote: "Resting on the elbow, squeeze the trigger, out the window, through the leaves, off the branch, through the hair, nothing but grey matter."

Yeah, Frank, let's not forget about the `Jet Effect`! I agree, though, I don't think Oswald acted alone in assassinating Kennedy, if he even had a hand in on it.

Be sure to watch the six-part series "The men who killed Kennedy" if it's broadcast in your area. It'll make you think! JFK wasn't as well-liked as history would make him out to be. He (and his brother Bobby) pissed a lot of important people off.

Conspiracy theories asside I just want to say, I've seen the videos of Kennedy getting shot. I was curious last night after seeing the History channel specials. Here's a link for anyone that wants to see for themselves (not for the faint of heart).

My assesment is that Kennedy was shot from behind. I've seen what high powered rifles can do to animals and it looked a lot like that. Looking closely you can see where the upper, back, right of his head implodes, which is what caused that damage. High velocity bullets can suck tissue forward with great force. There are some other things I noticed too but I don't want to get any more graphic here. I don't want to get in trouble with RockPick.
