Thanks for the link; just coincidentally, I got into an argument at work with a die hard Chevy man who brags how Chevy pick-up never have "firestone recalls", "engine noise recalls", and etc. I'm going to make about 60 or 70 copies of the article and plaster his work area!

Yeah, chevy has gotten progressively worse. They used to make some OK vehicles. but never any GOOD vehicles.

Is it just me or does ford get a bad rap on stuff like this? Chevy or dodge have problems like this one and you never hear about it, but if ford had a recall it would be all over the news.

Not sure I can agree....I believe my 69 is at least a GOOD vehicle, if not GREAT!

that is one sweet chevelle!

yea the engine knock issue is pretty well-known on the chevy boards, sort of like the whole piston slap deal on the 5.4's was a few years ago on the f-150's. it sucks, but all i know is that the 5.7 in my camaro is running perfectly . and as for ford not making any GOOD vehicles anymore, everyone has their opinions with this whole ford vs chevy thing, but i guess that my car is just an exception to the rule because its running GREAT

Thanks for compliments!

I know not everyone likes classic muscle, but judging by the thumbs up I get driving this thing, I think *most* people can appreciate it. Of course 468 ground shaking cubic inches doesn't hurt either...

I think I will get rid of what i just said. I know I will get crud for it.

Anyway, look at how short the skirts are. Of course the piston is going to wobble a bit. Its normal.
