Long Road Home

Well, its come to that time. Early Friday morning I will be leaving back to the great state of California. I will be driving my '50 down the 15 with most of my earthly pocessions in the back. We (my unit) are very lucky. We get to spend Thanksgiving at home with our family. I will be on leave the 21st - 29th an then we go to de-mob in early december and I should be home in time for my birthday.

So if you see a black 2001 F150 hualing tail down the 15 with a trail of duffle bags failing out of its bed, you can bet its me.

Ya! I get to start my life again (probably just to have it put on hold in another 6 months, and I hope so too, only if its to Iraq)

31C

PS - Its been an honor and a pleasure to provide you all with homeland defense.

Glad to hear that you get to spend turkey day with the family. Its always good when it works out that way.

Maybe you should do an inventory of your stuff before you leave & after you get home. That way you can let us know exactly what to keep our eyes open for.

Welcome back to civilization 31C. One of my troops (Air Force) just got back from an extended stay in one of the "istans". He had a few interesting stories. Enjoy your turkey day with your family. HooRah!!
