I bought a 2002 FX-4 just over 2 weeks ago. Here are pics of it. The first is the week I got it, and the second is after i got t-boned a week after i bought it.






A kid in a montero ran a stop sign at about 30 and t-boned me in the passenger door. I'm finally gettin out of the house a lil bit now, but its taking 5 prescriptions just to make the back pain bearable. Luckly tho it was the truck and not my old ride. Theres a few more pics including it on here.

Get better. Is the damage to the truck getting paid for?

 

Yeah, geico is trying to fight me on every damn thing...like $8 difference between a rental truck and a taurus. But luckly my co. State Farm has been real good at taking care of me. Geico is paying for the damage/medical bills, but they're making sure to **** me off while i'm laying around hurt.

This pic doesn't look that bad but the frame is bent, the whole cab is out about an inch on the driver side from the bed. The front suspension is broken, dash is broken. Its a big mess.

 

If the frame is bent, the Truck should be totaled out and replaced. Fight them right back. Bent frames aren't really repairable. You didn't buy a Truck with a bent frame, and you shouldn't have to have one.

I hope you feel better soon. Back problems take time to heal, and after a while, you'll get to be your own weather man.

Insurance companies are always a PITA when it comes to letting money go.

I agree with ATST, there's no way they should make you take a truck with a bent frame back.

Sorry about the truck getting damaged so soon after buying it. If it is like you say, then it should be totaled and they should get you a brand new one.

So the other person had Geico? My mom knows alot about dealing with them. She was in a wreck a few years ago where the girl that hit her had Geico. It was very hard to deal with them. I think we had Progressive at the time, but can't remember. They wanted to fight every doctor bill, any repair bill and anything else that they had to pay for. It was all a really big mess.

Geico is good to the people who have them, but if someone who has them hits you then it is not so good for you. They will fight EVERY claim that they get.

Yeah, The person that hit me had geico, they're a bunch of *******s. I've pretty much made it clear that if they keep giving me **** I'm just gonna turn it all over to my lawyer and sue their asses. BTW thanks for the compliments, those are a few of my friends.
