The RX-8 is more a sporty sedan then it is a sports car. I heard that they will be re-releasing the RX-7 though.

Still the RX-8 is a sweet car, just don't get it thinking it's a pure performance car like the Z.

 

I'd buy an 80's Merkur Scorpio XR4Ti. They've got the tried and true SVO Mustang driveline, cheap and easy to work on, and really fun to drive. For $10,000, you can have a nice car to start, rebuilt engine and trans, and it'd make a hell of a sleeper.

350 gets my vote. what about the s2000? not terribly fast but fun to drive. myself i'd still get the 350 over it though.
in fact i went and looked at one a couple weeks ago, may be my new ride in the spring.

 

I see absolutely nothing appealing about the EVO, except performance... I persanally would go with an Eclipse GTS, much more fun to drive... not as quick, but you can fix that with mods...

I'm not a fan of the new 350Z styling (I much prefer the older 300Z), but if you're set on it, I would suggest the Infinity G35 (I think that's what it's called). Just a little nicer, slightly better looking (IMO), and if I remember correctly (probably I don't , but...) it has the same performance as the 350Z...

 

the infiniti is basically a 350z with a backseat and a slightly softer suspension. little bit higher price tag as well.
