Waterproofing

I have been using this stuff for two years now and found it works the *****. I put it on my orange boonie, my orange stalker backpack and camo BDU's. Cheap alternative to buying all waterproof gear. Worth a try:

WOW!!! That must have been out in Montana or somewhere... gotta love the Mulies.

I saw a 6 - 8 pointer dead on the way into work the other day on the side of the road. I think a semi truck bagged that kill.

At deer camp my father still tells the story of sending me, the dog and a BB gun out at my Uncle's farm in Maine to hunt Jackalope. He had one on the wall and told me they came out in the afternoon to eat the beans.....Never did get one.

Lies all Lies

Santa Claus, Tooth Fairy then the Jackalope.......DOH

Hunted muzzleloader opening Sat and Sun in Concord, NH. The first day is buck or doe.

Sitting on a small ridge and two does come in from my left about 120 yards out. Didn't mount my scope so I did not attempt the shot. They pass me and I gave two quick calls with the "doe in a can"....they stop dead in their tracks, turn around and straight to me. 50 yard broadside shot....pull the trigger....cap fires and there is a two-three second delay......F@%$ing missed.

Sunday, I am sitting on the opposite side of the ridge and it starts to rain. It's 60 deg out and my only raingear is heavy. So I figure I'll take my chamois shirt off and with just a t-shirt and this jacket I should be all set. I stand up un-button my BDU's, they drop to the ground and take off my shirt. I hear a twig snap to my left (I say: I am going to start shooting these friggin Red Squirels), I hear leaves crunching (I say: that sounds like a big squirel). 30 yards away, a doe steps out and I freeze. I am standing with my pants around my ankles and she stops 20 FEET in front of me. She looks me in the eye, her head went side to side, looked me up and down and she starts stomping. She stayed there for all of 5 min and casually walked away. I have never been this close except for the petting zoo.

I feel your pain. the weather here is way to warm 77 today. (go figure its supposed to be snowing). I have seen them again and will drop another soon. PS i came out of work the other morning and there was a 6 point buck in the parking lot. you could reach out and touch it because there is no hunting in the city of buffalo!!

Talking buffalo

Well it wasn't really hunting but we have shot several of these in the past couple of weeks. They too are tasty!

Nice

They are good eating. Dragging that mother out must suck

Up in Maine, the smart moose hunters line up a skidder before they head into the woods.

We used a tractor with a bucket on it to move the buffalo. It is not really hunting but still lots of fun. We take a pickup and the tractor into the pasture with the herd, and pick one out. Then we shoot it,(as many times as it takes, the one in the picture took 3 rounds in the head from a 30-06), then using the truck as a shield from the rest of the herd we hook chains up to the dead one and carry him out of there to a safe place to gut and skin it. The other buffalo can get pretty aggresive.

I think the rut will be in full within the next two weeks. I don't have a scale. I butcher my own deer, so I will not know how much meat I will get until I have everything packed away in the freezer.
