What was your last car
The last 'car' I drove...and sold for the down-payment on my truck...was a '75 Vette. I restored it to show-quality, and won my class in the first show I entered it in. The last 'truck' I drove..and sold it too for the down-payment on my truck...was a '92 F150, long bed, 4.9, 5 speed.
Just gotta add something to this..........
My first vehicle available to me to drive was a '49 Chevy that we used to go camping in......tough car until we were jumping terraces and tore he bumpers off....
My first PURCHASED car was a '66 Chev Impala Sport Coupe. Nice and sporty........
Traded the Impala for a '67 Mustang Fastback, 390 4-speed, dual pumper 780 Holley, Headers, HUGE rear tires, traction bars etc..... and was the quickest quarter miler around..... had lots of fun and lots of tickets too......
While I sat out my license revocation, I got a 70 Ford Truck. Solid and dependable. With a 352 motor, it would burn rubber and run like hell but due to egg under my foot, I had to restrain myself......
Then went to a Chevy Party Van.... and I did.... often....
Then onto a Toyota SR5 Pickup..... great little truck...........
In 1980, went to work for a Co that furnished my vehicle. Since my company serviced GM assembly plants, I had to drive a vehicle produced at the main plant I was in most of the time.... Chev Monte Carlos became my vehicle for several years....
Changed to a company that let me furnish my own vehicle.... 1989 Sable......... geat car............
Started restoring Datsun/Nissan Z cars and had 2 of 'em... and a Chev pickup. That Chev hauled me a lot of mile dirtbiking in the boonies and always got me home until I T-Boned another truck..............
Shopping for another truck, I saw the new body style F150 and that was it. In July 1996, I bought a 97 F150 and still have it..... and bought another one to work in...........
I always keep a car too and it is a Toy Camry..........
Can't say I ever had a lemon since I maintain all my vehicles well and none really ever let me down.............
I still think about that 67 Mustang..... that thing made your butt clinch when you hit it.............

My last car before the L was a 1995 Firebird Formula. It was fun but the L is funner(is that a word).

My last car was a 2001 Honda S2000. 240hp 4 banger. Was a blast to drive. Handled like it was on rails and once you got rolling 10-15 mph would run like a scalded dog. Redlined at 9K RPM so when wound out it screamed like a banshee. Only problem with it was that it didn't have tons of TQ so it really hurt the launch. Good thing about it was through the corners there was not much on the road that could hang with you. On the interstate I spanked many stock sports cars. Overall, fun little car but not much purpose other than hauling *** through corners. I like my truck much better 03 XLT 4.6 even if it isn't as fast at least if I have a flat I have somewhere to put the tire that came off the truck other than the front seat. Oh, and I can fit tons of golf clubs in the bed
2002 Navigator, took it in for its first oil change & left with the Wood.
Before that was a 2000 Mountaineer (lease).
Before that 1993 Ranger 4x4, traded in for the "family vehicle".
Before that Dodge 15 passenger van, it was my parents & I didn't have a vehicle so as long as I put gas in it I could drive it. After driving that for over a year I haven't wanted a car since. Can't stand not seeing around the cars in front of me.
Before that, my first car, 1980 Mustang. My dad bought it for $200 from my oldest sister since it was sitting dead in our backyard. He got it running again & gave it to me & another sister to get us to school & back. We had to check the fluids on it every week or else it would quit running. I drove it for 4 years before I blew the motor on it.
Man I loved that car.

Last car was a 96 S-10, fun to drive but you never knew when it was gonna fly off the road on ya.
Before that was an 83 Buick LeSabre coup 307, thing weighed a ton, or maybe 2+ tons. With 60 series tires and two 15's it was the "fly ride" as my roomate used to call it. I loved that car, so sad when the head blew.
My first rig was a 83 Chevy 3/4 ton with a 305. Gutless sob but it would crash through anything
and you could put a a cord and a half of wood in it and 3 cord in the trailer behind it. It was origingally owned by cummins diesel and was an engine hauler for big rigs. I got $900 out of that for sure.

2000 Ranger
My last vehicle was a '00 Ranger ext. cab. It was a real nice truck. It had the sport package, all color keyed black. I bought a fiberglass cap, without windows. The truck really did look cool. I drove it for nine months. It had a major flaw. It's drive train. 3.0 with a random shift automatic. When you floored it it was like sending a fax to the engine that you wanted to get moving. The transmission would take even longer to figure out what you wanted to do. Set the cruise on the highway and the thing would have to downshift two gears on even the slightest hill to stay anywhere close to the preset speed. Nice truck but too much of a dog for me.
When I took delivery of the Ranger there was this nice red F150 with STX stickers on it. I thought it looked cool. It had a V8 and a 5-speed, direct shift transmission. Nine months later, after I had pulled most of my hair out driving the dog Ranger I picked up the red F150, Have been happy since.
I'm getting the new vehicle itch lately. The thing is I have to have something that has power at least as good as my F150. Having added a supercharger the bar has been raised a bit (along with the price range). I think it'll be a Lightning next. I hope we can find out what the next gen will be so I can tell if I should wait or not.
