There's one thing about the Simpsons I have never understood. How in the world did Homer ever get to work in a Nuclear Power Plant?

he got marge pregnant, and failed the interview at the plant...
later on, he got mad & stormed in the plant & demanded a job!

he said he'd do anything for a job, he'd let mr burns insult him, he'd lick his shoes, he would be spineless, he would kiss butt, etc.

mr burns was impressed & gave him a job.

(i've been buying the simpsons on DVD)
