I am 22 years old and my current car is my 3rd. I got a Grand Am when I first got my license, almost 2 years latter my mom pushed me into getting a GMC Envoy because I was driving 80 miles a day for collage and she didn't want me in that "little tin can". Well collage didn't work out and I got tired of that gas hog(I6 and 15MPG) and of paying $266 a month for it so I trade it in for the 6.
My parents helped with the first car but I got the others myself so yeah I haven't purchased many.

BTW, about the Envoy, I did pay sticker of 35K(please don't flame me)

What your saying is that whoever purchases my car is responsable for getting it to them? I thought I would have to take it some where to get it loaded up on a truck to be hauled off. Thats one reason I didn't want to sell it over the internet.

Oh my head is pounding, Im laying down.

Big Man, no flames-just trying to help

you not get hosed on future car deals. The past is past--just learn from it! You do realize if you buy a L that your gas mileage will be even less than SUV that you hated ----not including WOT runs to hear that supercharger whine or those tires squeal! Think you might be psyching yourself out on the car shipping thing! As I said before, your car is not a rare exotic so it is likely someone within 50-60 miles or less will buy your car. If it needs to be shipped it is customry the buyer makes all arrangements so he and shipping company are liable--not you! Learn to do your homework on any expensive (cars, boats, electroncs, etc) purchase you make as to best quality for the price range you can afford, plus cheapest prices for that quality item. Consider this, if you hadn't paid list price for those vehicles you could have gotten a much higher quality and priced vehicle for the same money or had a lot more money in your pocket. I'm not beating up on you, let it be a hard lesson learned and profit from it. Now take some aspirin and lie down. You can certainly ignore this and previous advice and do what you want. Wisdom is gained through experience and experience is gained from making mistakes. I learned the hard way,but not so stubborn anymore. Good Luck! If want any additional help post here or PM me.

Your right, I'll take it easy and really think hard. I started my new job today and found out that they let people put stuff up on boards for things like church meetings, selling stuff, and etc. Im thinking of posting my car up there to sell it, the plant employs about 580 people not including the 9 of us that started today. Thats a start.

As for gas mileage, I know the L has bad gas mileage but for a good reason. Performance! That Envoy had a 6 cylinder engine geting 15 MPG. I don't care if its in a mid sized SUV, its a 6 cylinder getting mileage of a V8. If that how it was it should at least fell like a V8. I gladly take a truck with 380HP and not care if it only gets 12 MPG.

Before I finally get one, I plan on taking one for a long test drive, and really beating down the salesman for a good price.

BTW, how does a L handle in wintery weather. Weatherman all over my area are calling for a BAD winter here since we had a cool summer.

Big Man, now you're starting to see!

L with good F1 tires is pretty god in rain IF you keep your foot out of the gas? Most of northern guys seem to say the L is terrible in the snow! If you think you're going to get any significant amount of snow, get some good snow tires and really take it easy. Snow tires aren't something I need in Atlanta area so I can't make any good recommendations. Tire Rack's site should help! You're NOT going to beat the salesman down. You'll be lucky to get a test drive at all. Go back to earlier posts about getting xplan pin, whether to get 03 or 04,etc. If you can't get xplan pin, do a search on buying services. This past June I did this to help a lady friend buy a Honda Accord Coupe EX V6, loaded. Used all the major services to get bids from dealers (some tried to play games) Cars Direct seemed to be best. Got above car for less than invoice into holdback. $28,000 car for $23800. Get Consumer Reports New Car Price Report for L $12 to have accurate picture of invoice cost, holdback, advertising, and any incentives. ONLY then will you actually have any idea of how good a price you are getting! Xplan still the best! Ask on this site for someone to help you with xplan.
