Talking Things to do in Houston when dead...

I have lived in Houston for 6 years and am still trying to find something to do...

But, since you have to come, of course you know that Clear Lake is home to NASA, and Space Center Houston is interesting if you like that sort of thing.

Kemah Boardwalk is really pretty fun, and I would take back what I said in the first line if it were closer to where I live. Many restaurants, live music acts, lots of things to do.

You would not be far from Galveston, also many things to do there. Interesting shops, Moody Gardens, 1890 Opera House, etc, etc.

Texans are proud of the San Jacinto Monument, also not far from Clear Lake (to the north), where Sam Houston defeated Santa Ana in one of the most amazing upsets in military history.

Downtown Houston has a fair nightlife, but as a married man with kids, it is hard for me to take advantage of that...

Good luck...98Screamer is from Houston, you should hear from him.

if you go to the monument you may as well check out the battleship. go to the strand in Galveston and check out all the shops especially a place called the peanut butter factory. and eat at Guidos on seawall. just drive down the seawall and you cant miss it. it has a big crab on the roof.

Seeing as TexasSteve won't spill the beans, you could go to Rick's Cabaret on Bering Drive, Just off Richmond Ave.

Er, never been there myself, cough cough, just heard about it from friends, Ahem.

Alledgedly.
