We're honestly not brothers. I wouldn't claim him if he was but, what we are doing here is thinking like adults that have played this 'find a job' game before with difficulty. It took me a while to come to the realization that the world works on relationships. You either have them (and you're successful) or you don't (and you flop).

I'm going to stop sounding like your dad (hell, I'm only 27) now and move on but, you're doing the right thing by contacting him...

And, by the way, you have time right now... quit goofing off and get to it... CHOP CHOP!

Like my little clone stated our post come from “experience” and what we have seen happen and know as reality. School is great and “can” get your foot in the door but it guarantees nothing. Always remember that school “may” give you an advantage over someone that has not gone to school but it will never guarantee a job or good contacts…

These past few years have been tough for a lot of people, school or not, and ever advantage WILL prove to be helpful during tough times when jobs are not plentiful…

Sure my little buddy, the report will be simple and to the point without all the BS. Write your report as follows:

Dear Client:

The groundwater is full of crap and unless you don't want teeth anymore don't drink the sh*t.

How's that bud?

Hmm...

Not sure if the Washington Department of Ecology will bite on that one...

Sorry man... it won't suffice.

I'll try to edit it a little bit and make it work...

Joe, speaking as a college senior who is currently job searching (and has been for while), networking is everything in this world. I worked my @ss off last year looking for an internship with about 15 applications and resumes submitted and about 6 interviews, and I will tell you that the job market is crud, and that you should take advantage of every opportunity given to you. If you have not already sent flafonman the email, send it now. Just trying to help you out.

Click on "Profile" under my post (or anyone's post for that matter) and you will see a screen that includes all kinds of nifty information. One these line items contains the text "send flafonman an email". If you require additional coaching past this point all bets are off.

Ain't technology grand?

It all sounded like a clever plot to stall to me... then again, I'm biased and thinking that I'm seeing through the poop that is being tossed out as a smoke shield.

This man speaks the truth. It's all about relationships. Although It will be easy for me to get a job once I finish college(Full-Time Military), it may be really hard for you Joe b/c of the career field. It's all about who you know in the business. If I were you I would bend over backwards trying to get in contact with flafonman.
