A question for you design guys:

Suppose I had a furniture company making high-end stuff, and suppose I currently employed artisans to "paint" patterns and designs on the furniture.
Suppose these artisans I employ are from Italy, and they cost me big dineros in salary.

How would one go about designing a machine that could do the painting for you, just like the artisan?

From what I've been told, this machine doesn't exist, and if one was available, it would be worth a lot of cash.

So what you guys think? Is it possible to build such a thing?
How long would it take, and how much would it cost?
