A Perfect Circle fans?

Anybody got the new APC CD "Thirteenth Step"? I was just on their website, and saw the video for "Weak and Powerless". I like... I'm a pretty big TOOL fan, and really liked the first APC CD... I'm to where I only buys CD's of bands I really like... I saw where Wal-Mart had if for like nine bucks, and I don't think it's edited...

Yes, I know WM edits, but what I meant is I don't think this one has an advisory sticker...

Sorry, Wal-Mart edits, but technically that's not right, what I should say is Wal-Mart won't sell anything that's not edited... music anyway, they'll still sell books and movies that some would find offensive...

I bought the new CD a couple of days ago (at Best Buy). It's alright, but personally, I like their first CD a lot better. The new one seems a bit softer and more mellow than their first one. To me, it doesnt sound quite as "Tool-ish" as their first CD either. Their first CD spent A LOT of time in my cd player, so maybe I'm just a little biased.

You thought the first one sounded Tool-ish?

I didn't get that. I found that even Maynard toned it down. In some way he doesnt even sound like the guy singing on the Tool albums.

Of course... this is a side project. This could very well be addressing the softer side of Maynards personality and he wont change from that.

I got it but it wont play in the factory stereo in my 2003 F150. I have to go bug the dealer again today about it. The new Iron Maiden wont play in it either. Both cds will play in any other stereo.

Wow. I didn't even know it was out yet. I've not been paying too much attention to APC after Paz left.

I still sit and wait for the Tapeworm project to finally yield some results after waiting 3+ years.

Hey, this is Joe's brother. Anyway, technically, any APC song isn't toned down at all. After all, MJK says that Tool is the left brain masculine result and APC is the right brain feminine result Does this clarify things up a bit?

Anyway, if you want to talk further on theis subject, my AIM, Yahoo!, and MSN screen name is unggodd, for those of you who want to talk about it.

Later, I'm out.

I also agree the first one was awesome, I plan on picking up the second this weekend. I think it's definitely Tool-ish sounding but as mentioned on a different level.

Anybody ever listen to Helmet?
