Don't Do This at Home!

. . . or anywhere else for that matter.

You may remember I leased this truck 5 years ago, and I am turning it in now. I got all my stuff out last week, but today I am going to clean it.
I opened the doors, and sprayed cleaner on the doors and scrubbed all the kid stuff off. The cleaner stuff was drying too fast so I decided to hose it down. La, la la did a real good job too. Looked like new, even. La, la, la, la . . . .
I go into the house to get a rag to wipe it dry, and when I come back, I hear Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click,
So I asked my friend what is he doing? He is laying in the grass next to my truck, and didn't even sit up to answer "HUH?" My brain kicks in, and I go "Hurry we gotta disconnect the battery!" My tools are all over the place and I am scrambling for the right size to the battery cable. He gets a brain storm and starts yanking out fuses . . .
Finally I found the #8 socket and got the battery cable off!

After a short (pun) break I opened the door panel and disconnected the window and door controls, then hook the battery back up.

So I'd say hosing down the interior door panels isn't really recomended.

Chevy? That sounds more like a Dodge thing. Oh wait. No you're right. Dodges make those noises without water. My bad.

Sounds like someone left out the part about smoking a fattie before he started detailing his truck...

Hosing off the interior door panels?????????

You're joking, right?????? (Mutters, under breath, something about "common sense," women, and Phoebe, from the "Friends" show).

I tend to bum out if a little rain gets on the switches. I refuse to install ventvisors, keepin the truck as stock as possible.

No. Actually, I posted it here first, Then I embelished it a bit over there. Those people don't have the sense of humor we have over here, but it is a very good site for diesels. I was trying to lighten it up a bit. Those guys get soooo serious.

and for the record, when it rains and you open your door, water gets on the door panels right? I bet my door panels are cleaner than yours, so Na na Na Na!
I am not stupid, haven't smoked the wacky stuff since I was a teenager, but at least my stupid act didn't affect other people, was easily fixed, and I sure as hell am entitled to laugh at myself when I do something stupid!
