Stop the Insanity
Stop the Insanity
Ok, it's *** kicking time, and I have my work boots on so get ready!
Now we've already learned our lesson with regards to chain mail right?
I thought we did, but apparently "Somebody" a friend of mine from f150online needs to get it through his thick skull.
Listen up people, for the millionth time, if a chain email promises to pay you huge sums of cash for forwarding email to "10 friends", read this carefully now:
IT'S BULL*****
Yes that's right, It is simply not true.
Kapish? Just to be clear, read it again:
It is BS, it is not true, all you are doing is giving spammers free email addresses to send spam to.
Here is the email I received a few minutes ago:
Now before you read, I'm asking you all (the guilty ones) to get it through your stupid thick skulls, and try to understand there are no free checks to be handed out.
Microsoft will not pay you $10,000 US for forwarding 10 emails out, yes, Bill Gates can afford it, but he is not wealthy because he's a dumbass, get it?
And finally, if you feel absolutely compelled to forward a stupid piece of mail because of your fear of bad luck for 7 years, then at least use the BCC function!

" What news? The bs news? The internet times??"
Dear Friends,
Please do not take this for a junk letter. " This line is already starting the BS" Bill Gates is sharing his fortune." Yeah, All rich people I know have nothing better to do than to share their fortune, that's why they are rich! Get a clue" If you ignore this you will repent later." nothing but empy threats to work on your fears" Microsoft and AOL are now the largest Internet companies and in an effort to make sure that Internet Explorer remains the most widely used program, Microsoft and AOL are running an e-mail beta test.
When you forward this e-mail to friends, Microsoft can and will track it (if you are a Microsoft Windows user) for a two week time period. " How will they track it? Is there a magical chip built into your email program? I wish I had the address of the person who wrote this so I could kick the ***** out of his lying ***"For every person that you forward this e-mail to, Microsoft will pay you $245.00, for every person that you sent it to that forwards it on, Microsoft will pay you $243.00 and for every third person that receives it,
you will be paid $241.00. Within two weeks, Microsoft will contact you
for your address and then send you a cheque. " The sad thing is there are countless stupid people out there who believe this, people you work with, your next door neighbor, maybe a relative, it really is scary"
Regards.

" Think about it, look at everything above, if this was real, don't you think they wouldve written a draft without spelling and grammatical mistakes? It's hard to imagine there are people who share the air that I breath who believe this!"
Try it, what have you got to lose????

Habibi has a good point and not just about ******** that actually believe those kinds of email. It is a great way of sharing virus with your good friends at a later date, not purposely mind you but since you have given someone yours and your friends email make it real easy to send a virus that you may open up and infect your computer with since it is from a friend you never suspect a virus…
Next time it might not be the "Sobig" virus but the "Solimp" virus...
