Exclamation $41.60 for gas!!

Holy crap! I just got a '98 F-150, and it was full when I got it. Well, I needed it fill it up today. I put 87 grade in (low on funds), it was 1.89 or so a gallon.

I asked my g.f how much she wants me to put in, and she says fill it up. I ask her again, at $20 dollars, then $25 dollars, if she still wants me to fill it up. She says yes.... I asked again nearing $40, and she said to keep going.

I have never owned a car that took that much gas! Something like 22.5 gallons. I think it has a 25 gallon tank. Stupid gas prices. Heck, the Pontiac LeMans I'm selling has like a 15 gallon tank and can go around 300 miles on a tank. I am so not used to this big truck.

I don't smoke, but I believe they're 3-something a pack.

Ya know I was wondering today how many people smoked on these forms.

I just filled up with super today and it was $1.93/gallon (the cheapest around). I think this is the highest I have ever seen it in NJ.

In NJ I see signs advertising the cheapest around for $5.50 per pack. In the casinos they are like $9.00 per pack

41.60 sounds nice. I went and topped off the tank last weekend, about half a tank, and it was over 30 bucks. I have to use the high test though (chip, superchager). We took my truck to the beach and left my girls Honda Civic at home. Might sound stupid but I don't get to drive my truck that often, and I really enjoy driving my truck.

I'm lucky if I can get a pack of smokes for under 5 bucks. Massachusetts= taxachusetts.

Unless you put a super charger on your truck you only need 87 octane. Any higher and you are only wasting money. Yes these are the highest gasoline prices ever, but we are still cheaper by at least half compared to any other country.

Gasoline is 1.79 for unleaded in So. Illinois and I only live 20 miles from 2 refineries. Something is wrong when all of the prices at all of the stations go up almost the exact amount at the exact same time. No other commodity reacts this way.

$1.79 for the cheap stuff here in Cincinnati.

I don't smoke, I used to. You can get a pack of Marlboros around here for just under $3. I think you can pick up a carton for like $29 something.

$1.75 up here in the Chicago Burbs for the 87 at BP.

I have no idea what cigs cost anymore, thank god. I remember being upset when cigs and gas went over a buck.

My hubby filled up the Wood for me at the begining of the week. It took $42 & that was for 93 (the Wood gets nothing lower than 91 & thats not available around here). BTW, it usually runs me about $35 to fill up. Gotta love it when we get close to a traveling holiday.

Cool

Well, I might have to jump the border to get some gas then. Here in Windsor, gas just went up to 83.5 cents / litre a couple of days ago. That would be about $3.16 CDN based on a U.S. Gallon for the cheap stuff. I use Sunoco Ultra 94 for the Superchip which is generally about 12 cents more expensive so it would be about $3.70 / U.S. Gallon. With my truck, I have two tanks, front holds 71 litres and the rear one holds 69. Total capacity is 140 litres, which at current prices would be $133.7 CDN to fill up for Ultra 94. Oh and if anyone wants to know the difference between low and high (94) octane, that would be about $16.80 CDN. Anyone want to switch ????

Have Fun & Keep on Truckin'
Dean

$2.10 a gallon for 87 octane here... and that's on a military base. I stopped at $25.00. I'm gambling that prices will have dropped by the time I need to buy more sometime next week (after Labor Day).
