Post A good read....

Really the second half of it. The first is all about the ten commandments stuff. That might stir up the waters here a bit too.

Cool

You're right, Viper. Good read, especially the part about the rich in California.

Should get 01 XLT cranked up, if he reads it...

I would question his figures... that 44,000 people accounted for 38% of total income tax revenue? I find that hard to believe. Especially when there are how many millions of people in California?

I actually enjoyed reading the 10 commandments thing more....

Well, I can't attest to the actual numbers. You have to remember though that California is home to some of the richest individuals in the world. Larry Ellison for example. These few people can generate a ton of money for a state. If someone makes 40 million in a year they pay maybe 14 million in taxes (35 percent) whereas someone that makes 50K only pays 13K in taxes (25 percent) That means for every BIG money maker there's 1000 regular folk paying the same amount in taxes. So if 44,000 people pay an average of one million dollars in taxes that's...... 44 bilion dollars. I'm just pulling numbers out of my rear here however.

I don't read it daily. I probably listen to his show more than I read the web site. I agree with most of what he stands for. There's a few things I think he's a little overboard on, but hey.
