Unhappy Wish me luck...

I'm switching trucks in the morning with the buddy I bought my truck from. He has a '93 302 auto reg. cab short wide... He's taking my truck in to have it aligned, and have the bed aligned... I just hate being without my truck, and though I trust him to drive it, I hate having someone else work on it... even if it is warranty work...

Trucks fall into the same category as wives and chainsaws. Never lend them out, and they will never let you down.

My buddy just called... Truck's on the rack, and since he set everything up this is the shop's first time to see my truck. Said there appears to be plenty of room for adjusting the bed, and even the bumper. He's even going to get my tires rotated for me...

I'm still nervous, but having a friend there to keep an eye on her sure helps!

The Eskimos have a different saying,...

I lend my sled to a man and it returns with a broken runner,

I lend my spear to man and it returns chipped,

I lend my knife to a man and it returns dull,

I lend my dogs to a man and they return whipped,

I lend my wife to a man and she returns glowing and happy.

Now which one makes sense to lend ?

I am sure your buddy is taking good care of your truck. I am sure after he got bored of laying 15 plus nice black marks from burn-outs and using up approx. 8,000 miles of thread in doing so he went on to racing a few rice vehicles to insure the tranny was shifting at optimum shift points, you know, making sure that bad boy SLAMMED into gear. Don’t worry about the few curbs he ran into since he will just realign it while it is in the shop. And I am positive he will wash it up from 6 guys leaning all over the hood and putting their soda’s on it while have a BS session, you know the grease marks from slamming their hands on the hood after a good joke, and the soda rings from drying up.

Hell, once you get it back you will never know…

Don’t sweat it, what you don’t know can’t hurt you…

Oh, and good luck...

Ahhhh....

At least you got her back and she's in good shape. See we were all worrying for you and trying to set your mind at ease...
