Waltrip at Bristle, wins busch series on his head

Micheal did it at Bristle last night, lead the last 50 laps and took the checkered. The interviewer told Micheal that he'd said that if he won he would do a head stand, so Micheal said " do you know what a redneck says just before he dies? Ya all watch this!" and he did a head stand. That Waltrip cracks me up!

Waltrip - LOL! Too funny. Nice that some people still have a great sense of humor!

The Bristol Cup race ...
A parade behind the pace car interrupted a few times by racing. At least it didn't come down to fuel mileage.

I wonder what the longest green flag run of the night was? It couldn't have been no more than 50 laps. I watched it, but I was also doing something else, so I really missed half of it. And that was a hard hit Rusty took. I also loved seeing Gordon spin out there near the end.

Can't agree with you more. They have to do something to this track to expose an upper groove. Imagine how great that track would be if they could go side by side in the corners and not have to worry about diving to the bottom. Maybe grinding the lower groove like they did at Martinsville would work. That may keep the cautions down and make the racing more exciting. But why would Bruton Smith care, he's got people lined up for years trying to get in the place. . .

I think the track is awesome the way it is. That is why it is the most popular track on the circuit, the crashes and tempers...

This is just something I thought was funny. Jimmy Spencer was put on probation because he physically hit Kurt Busch with his fist. When Kurt Busch won the Sharpie 500 race, the second place driver (I forget his name) said he was mad because he lost to "old rubber head."

Don't get me wrong, the place is neat. But it would be way cool if they could pass in the corners. There would still be wrecks and bumping because the place is so tight. There were 20 cautions and 119 of the 500 laps were run under yellow. This is ridiculous. Nothing worse then sitting in the stands and watching these cars parade around at 35 MPH for over 1/5 of the race. Was it a good race, yes. But there is room for improvement

Can't wait to see how Homestead plays out this year as well

Yeah, Kevin Harvick did get second place. Thanks for mentioning that. I've tried to remember that name all day.
