can anyone help me with this brain teaser for school...
I've been working on it for a few days now... I got nothen'...
What we have is 3 circles on the top and 3 squares on the bottom
Say the top row is 1 2 3
Then bottom is X Y Z
What we need to do is connect
1 with x,y,z
2 with x,y,z
3 with x,y,z
In this case we can't connect 3 with Y
I've tried everything but you can't overlap your lines. So every time you try it you will come up with everything connected but 1 short. any advise? the instructer said there is an answer for this... I can't find it, anybody? thanks, Shane

you need to connect 1 and y
you connected 1 and Z twice right?
No Solution
I thought this puzzle sounded familiar, only it was three houses and the Water, Gas and Electric companies had to get the 3 services to each house with out crossing the lines.
I cannot be solved; somebody at this link below has a mathematical solution why it will not work.
