Angry Down with Ford Bashing!

Is anybody else tired of this?! I am on my 4th Ford product. Everytime I tell someone I drive a Ford, the Firestone recall or some other recall comes up. Is is just me, or are Ford's recalls over publicized? Everytime someone mentions a recall on the news, they immediately reference the "fragile state" that FoMoCo is in. Blah Blah Blah! I read another thread stating that there is already a problem with the '04 F-150. Of course there is a problem. I don't think there is a vehicle in recent history that hasn't had at least 1 recall. Give it up Ford Bashers!

My brother-in-law bought a 2002 Mazda MPV. At 25,000 miles, a portion of the steering mechanism fell out from under it. The first thing he says is, "I have had several Mazda's and never had a problem till Ford bought the company!" I just about smacked him for his stupidity.

I had lots of trouble with my mustang, but none of it was major or mechanical. My problems were more along the line of cheap interior parts, which Ford is remedying. I also expected this because I figure it was Murphy's law. I ordered my dream car, only to have it tainted with problems. Go figure.

I just wanted to complain for a minute. Down with the Ford Bashing!!!!

Ox!

Its hard to find a recall on a Lexus/Toyta or Acura/Honda product and if you do, its minor.

Im sorry to say this, but Ford is getting what it deserves! They cut corners all over the place and gotta pay the piper when stuff goes wrong. Which it does Way too often.

If it were my company, I would fire all those sorry **** engineers they have to start and go from there.

I just bought Fords top of the line truck (non commerical) for damn near 40 grand, and it has so many flaws its almost laughable -if it were'nt mine

I recently asked the service mgr. at my local Ford what would have happened if I had spent $40 grand on a Jap. car? He could'nt deny that it would be a nearly perfect car with nearly perfect reliability and a whole lotta goodies!!

For that kind of money, the paint should AT LEAST be smooth!!!!

Ford has given a lot of people reason to bash them. I have been a Ford man most of my life because I like the way Fords ride and handle. I have also had to put up with a lot of problems that were simply due to poor design or lack of giving a sh*t by Fords people.

I still like Ford but currently own an 03 GMC because of the way I was treated at Ford Dealerships when shopping for a new vehicle earlier this summer. When I am ready to buy again in a year or three I hope to get the new Ford truck, but if their dealers still have a crummy attitude then I will probably get another GMC because I really like it so far. Of course an M1 Abrahms gets better mileage than I do now but unless fuel tops 2 bucks a gallon its not an issue to me.

A lot of Bashing is done in the name of humor or just trying to get your goat so try not to take it too seriously. My brother used to buy a new Chrysler or Dodge every year before he got sick and he would razz me all the time about Ford being "Found On Road Dead" LOL. But when he decided he wanted a quick and nimble vehicle that wouldn't fall apart if he ran it the way it was intended he bought a Mustang. I had fun with that.

If not for the Lightning, I would never have bought a Ford. Well, maybe the '03 Cobra. Nobody else has anything that can compare with the L.

I hear all the blue bleeding Ford guys talk about how bad GM is, I have had no major problems with any GM product I've ever owned. Any of the few small problems I did have, were always corrected without hassle. I never feared having my warranty revoked for the simplest of bolt-on aftermarket toys either. I wont say Ford sucks; but, I won't be upset if I hear someone else say it.

FORD SUCKS!!! j/j seriously guys. I love Ford. That's all I've ever owned (quick loud laugh) Anywho, I've never had a problem with my truck and my dad has never had any problems with his previous truck nor has my mom with her cars. If you don't screw with them and drive them responsibly then you won't have a problem.

Time to GM bash. I've decided it all comes down to (Car)ma. I have had a Tahoe, Monte Carlo, and my mother and sister each had cavaliers. All of them were nothing but trouble! The Tahoe had sensors in the steering column that kept going out, causing it to jerk when turning. The Monte Carlo had an electrical ghost. The Cavaliers both had starter problems from the day they came off the lot. Maybe we just have bad luck with Chevy's.

My parents are on their 3rd F150 and mom just got a new Expedition. I am on my 3rd F150. My sister has had an Explorer and now and Expedition. We haven't had any major mechanical problems. Go Ford!

PS. I said down with the Ford bashing, not post your complaints here! LOL

here never has and never will be a perfect car. They all have their problems. Some are worse than others, but they all have problems. If there was a such thing as a car that had no known problems ever, then I am sure that everyone would be jumping on that car. Yea Ford has their problems, but so do Chevy, Dodge, and all the other car manufacturers out there. I have seen 60-70 thousand dollar cars sitting on side of the road before broke down. We have had several Nissans and Toyotas and some of them have been pieces of junk. We had a Nissan Sentra one time that stuff just started falling off the bottom of the car while going down the road. Bottom line is that NO CAR IS PERFECT.

http://www.alldata.com/TSB/59/995969A9.html <-- Celica

This one's pretty big. it's for a 200 Honda accord, everything from coolant leaks to torque converter seal:

And finally, how about a Lexus vehicle:

People remember the spectacular (thanks to extensive news coverage with dramatic pictures) issues.

Suzuki Samarais roll over, Pintos explode, Jack In The Box burgers can kill you, and the engines fall off DC-10s. Any of those sound famaliar?

A million Hondas with a leaky sunroof do not make the news; now if the cupholder could explode killing all passengers, that's good TV.

Sorry, that is the way it is.
