A new breed of Man????

I read this on Netscape and thought it was crazy.

http://channels.netscape.com/ns/cele...s/metrosexuals

Yeah, its good to look nice and be well groomed, but that is screwed up. They are looking at the few in Hollywood that are like that which only come up to about .000001% of the men in the world. The rest of the 99.99999% of men that are straight I don't think would be doing things like wearing nail polish and stuff.

Kinda reminds me of some friends I had that spent hours walking around the mall going into all the prep stores. Me, I walk in buy what I came there for and maybe hang out at the computer store for a few minutes. These guys would do the slow walk from one door to the next.

I don't think any of them did face cream though. The pretty boy thing though, I don't know. For one thing, I'd go freakin nuts if I couldn't climb outa bed and toss on a hat to start my day. To each their own I guess.

I don't think there's too many of the "pretty boys" on this F150 site, LOL

My dress up wardrobe consists of:
1 suit (2 piece)
1 pr dress shoes
3 shirts
2 ties
1 blk leather belt

The rest of my regular wardrobe is shorts, jeans, T-shirts, sweaters, one pair of sandals, and 1 pair of hiking boots

Ok, this is somewhat OT, but this has always bugged me.
In our bedroom, we have 3 big *** dressers, and 1 big *** closet.
Out of all that storage, I get 3 drawers (1 for shorts, 1 for socks, and 1 for T's)
I get a tiny sliver of the closet too (maybe 1/5th of all the space.

The rest of everything is filled with my wife's "stuff, and not only is the closet busting at the seams, the closet in the guest room is full of her clothes too.
You married guys notice this, or am I the only one??

I wonder what the proper face creame would be to keep in the bass boat? Say, I might pull an engine this weekend and don't want to chip a nail, can any of you metrosexuals out there give me a hand? Might get some oil on those Italian shoes, though.
They forgot to mention the KY jelly. Oops...better watch that 'thumbs-up' guy.

it's now cool for a man to own 43 pairs of Bruno Magli shoes
hmm.... So I am not cool now because I have two pairs of shoes?
All I have are a pair of Nikes that are over 2 years old and a pair of dress shoes that I wear about only a couple of times a year. What is the big deal with owning 200 pairs of shoes and not single pair are alike? And most of them, they probably never even wear.

BTW, what are Bruno Magli shoes?

Habibi, dont fret none. I have less space than you but it's not because of my cojones, it's just that I have a lot less clothes than my wife!

She rotates her wardrobe with the change in seasons, if it's cold I put on sweatshirt or jacket and boots. Problem solved!

Besides, I grabbed all of the basement and most of the garage space except for a few pool toys and the kids bikes. That's what really matters to me anyway!

Ditto man. I got the same scenario going on in my house right now. All I can suggest is that if you decide to do a home remodel (which we are getting ready to start), make sure the redesign of the master bedroom includes a separate walk-in closet for your stuff (which I made sure was in our plan). Mine will be about 1/4 the size of the walkin closet my wife get's outa the remodel, but it's mine, all mine! And to think it will only cost me around $100K to get some space of my own. And before you ask, that price includes a whole second story on my 2500 sq. ft. single story home, not just two walkin closets.

Good luck on finding a solution in your home.

YES, yes I do. When I was married and before the ex left to move in with the new boyfriend loaded with cash I had very little room for any of my clothes. Then one day I come home, go upstairs and think “Damn someone added a room up here” come to find out she had left to move in with boyfriend.

It was truly a sad day for me….

Because I realized I didn’t have a lot of clothes, felt kind of cheated you know busting your butt all these years and no clothes to show for it…

I swore I wouldn't post till counts are turned back on here but this turned my stomach!
Are we supposed to CONGRATULATE these morons? So they are careful about their appearance & grooming - yeah , and? For years there have been many men who did the same & they were simply thought of as neat, presentable & well groomed. No accolade - no kudos!
You know - women who act like these guys do are called spoiled, princesses & *itches! And, as a woman I have to agree! Why are the men looked at as though they have just attained some superhero status?
Sorry but any guy I'd date or marry had better NOT be as wussie as this new breed of men. Clean? Yes. Coordinated? Well, as long as all the articles of his clothing are from the same season (i.e. sandals & sweats are a no no!) I'm happy with that.
Sorry guys but this "new breed" isn't the type tp drive a truck - ANY truck & that is not my kind of man. Hmmmm - "new breed" sounds like they should be registering w/the AKC instead of Clinique! How pathetic!

From: Michigan Rocks and then some too!!!
Yeah, my EX used to spend more time, mouse and hair spray in the bathroom than me. (Those 5 hairs have to be just right - ya know?) and he had the nerve to request more than 1/4 of the available closet and dresser space!!! He also insisted on having two laundry baskets on my bedroom floor - one for whites and one for darks. Every one else in the house just used the one hamper in the bathroom, and I would seperate them when I did the laundry.
That's OK I never did give him more than two of the six drawers, and enough room in the closet to hang his two suit jackets (one for funerals, and one for everything else) and 4 dress pants.
He didn't use face cream though.
Damn, was I glad to have my floor, closet and dresser space, plus bathroom time back. When he wanted to come back After 3 months, I said "No way" Heck, he didn't even have any decent tools for me to keep, I mean use. At least he didn't get mine.

I don't want no "pretty boy" but a man should have enough pride to not let his body fall completely out of any shape resembling a human male. and I ain't talking about "love handles" I am talking "can't see his own feet" type of thing. I don't care about perfect hair (or lack of hair), or a few wrinkles, but I like clean and some sembelance of a phisique a few visable mucsles. Why do guys have to go overboard on everything?

Yeah, its good to look nice and be well groomed, but that is screwed up.
Theres a difference between being clean/groomed and willingly removing your *****. I think the article should have expanded on that point a little more.

Not even married and I have to deal with it. There are 2 solutions that will either solve, or lessen this problem:

1 - put your clothes in the basement/garage.
2 - if you have an attack, get her some funature or storage boxes so that she can pack away out-of-season clothes. If she already does this, short of having an additional room built you're screwed.
