Question Help Urgent:Breakdown 2003 F250

Just got a call from a friend with a 2003 f250 at 10:30 pm.
4000 km's

He has got a problem with the tranny, it won't engage or something.
Light is flashing and errorcode says Check gage.
Also engine won't start.

Anyone knows where to look for.
Roadservice just arrived but I am afraid they can't locate the problem.

TIA

sounds like EEC problem, check fuses and relay to computer. Also check wiring harness.

The darn thing is brand new! Have it towed and let them fix it, end of story.

I agree, I wouldn't screw around troubleshooting it let the dealer play with it while you get a loner...

Unhappy

The truck shifted out of gear to neutral at a speed of 75 MpH.
You could only drive 20 MpH with it, then it would shift out of gear again.
Light on the lever was flashing.
The cause of the problem couldn't be found.
The truck was transported back home on a flatbed and arrived at 01:00 am.

Dealer will have to take a Look Again on Monday.
This sucks ofcourse, truck is only 2 months young and has only 4000 km on the odometer.

I am not familiar with a F250 but I think the tow/haul lever (i think it is called like that) was flashing.
Also in the display the "Check gage" was lighted.

I have been checking V8 6.0 liter sites.
Man, a lot of problems these new f250's have.

If you have a clue however, please post it here or in my topic in the transmissions forum.

TIA

Yep, plenty of computer glitches with the new motor

Why are you so anxious about this? 1. its not your truck to worry about 2. The dealer will handle everything including the bill.
Just wondering...

Have you visited www.dieselstop.com ? Thats about the best place around for PSD info.
