Vacation.

Where is everyone going for vacation this year? We recently returned from the east. We had a tour of old Quebec. Very nice. Maybe we can get further East next time. I sure would like to try the fresh lobster on the coast.

We are going to Prince Edward Island for our annual vacation, and might make it over to Newfoundland while we're out there.

We might drive through the States to get there because I hate Quebec.

What do you hate, the province or the people? I have never been into history, but after seeing the old Quebec I thought it was interesting how the British won that war.

Unhappy Vacation?????

Wish I could take a vacation. I retired from the military last year, used to get 30 days a year. I don't get any vacation loaded on the books until mid-October in my current job, have to be there a year...

Cool

RP, Don't know what it costs in your neck of the woods, but around here you can get a moving company for about $500/6 hours or so. If you're not moving very far, you can have all of your stuff packed and ready to go, let those guys do the heavy work, then unpack everything youself at the new place. Sure does save your back! Well worth it IMHO.

We went to the Gulf coast this year. Stayed in Navarre/Pensacola FL. I've always loved the beach and we'll probably take another short trip there before the summer is over.

The water in Navarre is clear enough to see all of the sea creatures swimming by. We stayed on the 14th floor of a condo complex and from the balcony we routinely saw sand sharks, sea turtles, and a sting ray (manta ray, whatever you call them) swimming near the beach. Very cool place! Someday I'm gonna live there.

Actually, Quebec is a beautiful province, but it would be even more beautiful if all the "Quebecois Seperatists" moved back to France and stopped their belly aching.

We are going to Florida again this year.
Doing the Disney Cruise to the Bahamas first then have a house in Orlando for 2 weeks.
We get there on the 26th July and get home 16th August.

Out of that 3 weeks, we have one "Daddies Day" in Daytona when i am going to do the Richard Petty Experience. Whoohoo!

Take the truck and roll down to Key West. Make sure you have 22s or you will not fit in Drive around and take a few day cruises there where you can do some diving. Then head north for a few hours until you hit Miami and Key Biscayne. Do some fishing up there and hit Miami Beach. Make sure you bring a camera because there are a lot of "Beautiful Women" in their early 20s everywhere. Then head north all the way to North Carolina. Bring some camping gear and go to the Smoky Mountains. The most beautiful place I have ever been. Fog early in the morning is awesome. After that its your choice. I would head to Maine

We did Miami and the Keys 2 years ago. Fun Fun Fun!

Texford, I will be in Ft Worth next week on the 16/17th on business. Anything going on mid-week car wise?

Houston Monday and Tuesday and probably in Ardmore, Oklahoma on Friday before back to Houston for the weekend.

Anyone want to go for a beer?

not anything that I've heard of but in August, the 15th. thru the 17th. there is a big to do in Vernon Texas..lots of classics and street rods gathering there for an annual show...hav'nt been but I've heard plenty of it and I'm seriously planning on going this year. this way I can kill 2 birds with 1 stone so to speak and check out my Dove sites in the area at the same time. Vernon is located 2 1/2 hours northwest of DFW between Witchita Falls and Childress...just take 287 north out of Fort Worth or 377 west out of Denton to 287 then north
