Cool SlurpeeŽ

The Slurpee Cup, which recognizes the city or region that sells more Slurpees per store than any other in the world, could become a permanent fixture at 7-Eleven's Winnipeg headquarters if Manitoba wins the title for a fifth consecutive year.
"The competition is on right now and if Winnipeg wins, we're going to retire the Cup," said 7-Eleven Canada spokeswoman Julie Dow. "Manitoba will become forever known as the Slurpee capital of the world."

The 7-Eleven stores in Manitoba sell an average of 8,300 Slurpee drinks per store each month, which makes this Province the world leader in Slurpee sales.

Not too bad for a place which has an avg. winter temp of -2F and summer temp of 67F

The kind of frozen drinks that are popular here in Florida generally come with an umbrella stuck in them, and aren't available at the local 7-Eleven.

The Sloppy Joe's in Ft.Lauderdale has about 20 frozen drink machines filled with various libations-my favorite being the day-glow orange 190 OCTANE. If you can't decide I'd recommend the Long Island Iced Tea that comes in an 80 oz. bucket. Good thing you get to keep it--On the ride home after two of those on an empty stomach (as a passenger thank God) I had to use it.
