I have a 98 F250 light duty with a rear leaky window. I've read on the site where there are tsb's on f150's. There is one for the f250 in 98 as well.
My question is.....does Ford have to fix it "for free"? if there is a tsb. Or is this TSB just tellin the mechanics "we screwed up again" you might have this problem...here's what to do...
Thanks, Josh

Not sure about earlier models however; having dealt with this specific problem myself and having helped numerous folks with it, I don't believe a TSB exists (however, I may be wrong).
Interesting to hear that it's happening in the F-250s as well though. Definately a design flaw.

RP , F250 LD = Light Duty - same chasis as a F150 in those days - now called the 7700 package.
So if it was happening on the F150, the F250 is understandable being a body issue...

A TSB means Ford knows there is an issue and gives the tech guidance on the solution. Not a free repair unless one of two things: You are still under warranty or you have a good relationship with your dealer who is willing to fix a known issue to keep a customer happy.
