Guess What!!
I got a card in the mail today that said if I get it back in time, that next Tuesday, I get to take a 1 hour test drive in a 2004 F150! The card said they were taking 150 people, but when I called they said that it is only 120-125 people. It is on a first come, first serve basis. I am going right now to put it in a drop in mailbox, since they don't pick them up until almost 5pm.
I am so excited about this

I don't know if I will be selected or not. The guy on the phone told me to return the card in the mail, which I just went and done. The mail from that box will be picked up today, and will probably sent out tomorrow, so they should get it by Wednesday or Thursday. Hopefully I am in the 120 people selected.
I wish I new what model(s) they are going to have there. Hopefully, it will be a supercrew FX4 or a Lariat model.

Know any other specifics? I mean, are they going to ask you all opinion type questions after the drive or anything of that nature?
Or are they just casting a line with a bunch of treble hooks seeing if they can get you to sign up for one at full MSRP?

This is what the ad says
"You're one of a few customers who've been invited to pore over, get into and tool around in a brand-new, redesigned 2004 F150 on Tuesday, July 15.....The general public won't be able to get their hands on one for several more weeks, so this is sort of a sneak peek. And don't worry, we're not selling them yet, so you won't be asked to purchase one. (However, we can't guarantee you won't plead with us to let you buy one!)"
That is pretty much what it said as the only other things on the card were just instructions on how to register for it.
So according to this, they will be for sale in a few weeks.

That is awesome. If you get picked can you go and pick up your extended family for a ride. I can give you directions, and I am sure RockPick can give you directions...

Yeah, I could do that. But it did say in the fine print that there can be one guest per person. Sure wish I could get a few of you guys to go with me.
BTW, if I do get selected for the test drive, I will have plenty of pics and will write about what I thought of it. Hopefully it will be all good info.

Oh man... the comebacks to that one are endless but, in the spirit of this being a 'family site', I think I'll refrain.
Thanks for the excellent set-up though... whew... hard to walk away from that one.
