Clean and simple, I dont care about your poor past or anything other than the facts of the case. WHO had a perfect upbringing anyway?!?

And if necessary an Eye for an Eye again!
and then we are both blind.
(Hey, who turned out the lights?)
(Where'd everybody go?)
OK, revise that.
First an Eye for an Eye followed by an Ear for an Eye!
(I don't want to hear any complaints)
Hey, I guess we should all look at this decision as a good thing. Now when the guy in traffic pisses ya off and you beat him to death with a tire iron, the "daddy whipped me with his belt all the time" defense should get ya right off.
Obviously I'm joking.
AJ, I am not really a liberal or conservative as I share many of the beliefs that both groups profess. I did though want to comment on your comments. I really don't like the assertion that a person who grows up in bad circumstances will grow up to reek similar impacts on those around them. I also have a couple issues with your "dogs trained to fight" analogy. Personally I grew up with an absentee father, I however decided for myself that when I had kids (I have two boys now) I was gonna be there for them each and every day, and I have been. Environment does not dictate our actions, we do. That's why we're noted by scientists as being at the top of the evolutionary heap, even though we frequently don't live up to this ranking. I guess my opinion on the Supreme Court ruling is that it will most likely do more harm than good. Personal responsibility has been so eroded over the past 10 years that I have some real concerns as to what the future holds for my boys.
