Dumb Question
Dumb Question
I don't know what the heck happened, but the address bar section in my IE is gone.
How the heck do I get it back.
PS---? Umm, this question is being asked by my friend, not me.

Tell your friend ...
Place mouse cursor anywhere on the bars that show
right click
you'll see a list of available items
"address bar" will be unchecked
drag down to it and laft click to select
It will magically re-appear before your eyes.

I tried that, but as you can see from the photos, the $%# address bar is still not visible.
Anything else to try? I know it's a stupid little thing, but I can't find it.

Go to your View button on the top and click on the toolbars and then you will have several options and one of which will be address bar and click that one on.. that should get it working for you.
Good Luck

Ok, I will try,
On the top you see from left to right:
File Edit View etc......
Selelct: View
Go down to "Toolbars" on the menu
You will see:
Standard Buttons
Address bar
Make sure there is a check next to the Address bar

Then, insure there is a Money Order in the proper amount made out to 01 XLT Sport

I tried the above, and nothing changed, so I did a system restore to 2 days ago, and now everything is back to normal.
When I go to toolbar after the restore, I can make the address bar disappear and return, before it wouldn't work.
Thanks for the help.

O.k. then try this,
It looks like you are in XP wich should not matter.
First make sure "lock the toolbars" is unchecked wich it looks like it is, then take your mouse, and hold it under where the address bar should be until you see the pointer split into two directions. It should by right over the line where the web page starts and the address bar begins. Try doing it right above the White Expidition in your pic. Just move your mouse pointer slowly up and down until you see it change to black and point up and down at the same time.
Then click and hold the left mouse button and drag it down until things start to appear. It looks as though it is there, just hidden so you are going to stretch things out. This has to work. There is nothing else left.

Alright dude...here you go....
Looking at the pic you posted, I believe that it sez "address" where I have circled in red...(see pic)
If that is the case, do the following.
Place cursor over where it sez "address" where I circled in red (not in this pic, but in your actual browser...)...
hold down the left mouse button and keep holding it down...
you will see a cross with an arrow at each end appear...
while still holding down the left button, drag it down below the level it currently is at and you should see the address bar appear by itself on its own level...

Personally....
Mozilla rocks.
The rest suck.
By the way, Habibi, in the pic you posted I also notice that you are not seeing the entire width of the IE document on your screen,
Click on the maximize/restore button in the upper right (middle of the three buttons)
