The Ways Dodge Rips Off Ford Ideas

I started this over on Lightning board...

Dodge is always ripping off Ford ideas.

example:

XLT = SLT
XLT Lariat = SLT Laramie

3/4 Ton and up are called SUper Duty. Now all 3/4 and heavier Dodges have "Heavy Duty" emblazoned on the tailgate.

Please feel free to add your observations on how Dodge rips off Ford.

Next week we go after Chev, Toyota and Nissan

Is it a rip off or a trade off, since Ford got engines and financing from Dodge, even though Dodge cars didn't show up till 1914 and trucks in 1917?. In fact without Dodge there may have never been Ford as we know it...

heavy duty sounds alot better than double duty

dodge trucks were called d-150, d-250, d-350, when the fords were called 100, 200, 300 now when ford started using the 150, 250, 350 monickers dodge went to 100, 200, 300 and on to 1500 2500 3500

when i speak to my dad and start reading the history book i will provide dates

thanks for playing!

F150 started in either 78 or 79. Big brother said all 1/2 ton trucks had to meet smog restrictions, so Ford said fine, here's our 5/8 ton F150...

So, since XLT led to SLT did SLT lead to SLE?

Well, you know what they say, "If you can't Dodge it, Ram it!"
