You know what really sucks? The guy in the Hummer, who ran over the people who robbed his insurance agency, will probably face charges. Criminals will see this and realize that they, the scumb of the earth they are, don't have to face any real consiquences but the hard working, honest people of this country do.

It's too bad two of the criminals are in critical condition. Maybe if they hadn't put themselves in that position they wouldn't have had their heads crushed.

The Hummer (especially the H1) may be a bit excessive but in this case I think it was the right tool at the right time!

If he was able to chase them down in a Hummer, I'm guessing it wasn't a high speed chase...

If I'm on that Jury I'm voting not guilty for the Hummer driver.

One of our local radio DJ's here loves those things, but of course he also like GM vehicles. Hummers are just like Chevrolets theme song suggests. They are LIKE A ROCK. They even look like a big rock too.

not bad for a suburban with different body panels. The bigger joke is the poeple that buy them thinking they are somehow JUST LIKE the H1.

Just like those people that paid a premium to get a VW Beetle which was only a reskinned Golf.

Fools.

Very true J... I'm with you.

I was in South Bend, Indiana around the time that they were gearing up for the 'unveiling' of the H2 (as it is a joint venture between AM General (located in South Bend) and GM).

I actually drank a beer with a guy that was on the team to unveil them and, in his drunken state, he mentioned to me that it was the HIGHEST PROFIT MARGIN VEHICLE that GM expected to manufacture for several years.

Most folks don't have any idea on the differences between the H1 and the H2...

I remember when you could buy them a few years ago direct from AM General. Those vehicles, on the flip side, were TANKS. I'd love to have one of the 'civilian models' that were being made along side the military versions... those things are incredible.
