Unhappy Bugger

Disaster for England.

Having had 4 months off work due to the "Middle East Problem", I am now back at work.
I am in Azerbaijan for the next 5 weeks so instead of driving around in my F150 at home, I am now cruising the ex Russian republics in this.

Mind you, only 6 weeks till I go to Florida though.

Where are the saddle and reigns? How many miles does he get before he has to eat?

I think I would've recruited the dog and cruised around on him... geesh... that's weird looking.

What is it?... the vehicle... not the dog. LOL!

Looks like a Border Collie, those are great dogs. My mom has 2 of them Kind of cool to see one on the other side of the world.

In a couple years that piglet of a truck will probably be all the rage in Yuppie land. Remember when the Mini Cooper was a European oddity?

That truck is a Lada Niva, built in Russia.
They are truly horrible little things to drive on the road and you could just about get one in the back of an F250.
Off Road, is a different story. They are pretty heavy duty and not at all easy to destroy like I have many times.
We have one for ease of repair and getting spares. If you had a real truck, you would have to import everything and the local mechanics would wreck it immediately.
HYaving said that, there are a few US imports about, mostly Chevy.
You can run the Niva on 73 octane gas available here at the bargain price of 25c per gallon.

As for the dog, one of the many stray mongrels that live out in the oilfields. They are mostly starving and I usually make the mistake of feeding them the leftover lunch.
Come the winter time, I will make a nice fur hat from it.
