Im finally buying my first car.

I cant decide between and M3 or a Lightning. They both have there +'s and -'s but i still like them both.

Which would you buy?

Yes i know replies might be biased.

You must want the Lightning because your asking the question here. If you wanted the M3, Iam sure you would have asked the question on the Bimmer board.

They really are 2 completely different animals. So my answer is, rob a bank and buy both!

Congratulations on reaching a point in your life where you can afford to buy a brand new vehicle.

Please buy an American brand of vehicle as most of the money stays on our continent that way. Lets keep our folks working first.

Thanks in advance for your patriotism.

That is a tough one. My wife used to drive a BMW 328i. Damn that was a nice car. She is now driving a Ford Explorer XLT. Also a fine vehicle. We traded it in because Germany wussed out and didn't support us during that latest Gulf War.

Honestly I will admit the BMW is higher quality. I have to say that. Its a fact. They are amazing machines. The M3 is spectacular. One of the Doctors I work for has one. I love driving that thing. But when it comes down to God and Country, love and support, I gotta reccomend the L to ya. Just as fast, and more practical. Hell its a truck. You can haul and pull, and do more things with it. More places to get it fixed, its much cheaper to maintain, and insurance will be allot cheaper. But most of all, it is an American product. Would I love to have another BMW? Hell yes. But I am not going to line the pockets of a foriegn company whos government won't support us. I'll never forget 9/11. We got attacked and every country out there shouldv'e lined up and supported our kicking the *** of everyone involved. Germany wussed out. Plain and simple. I'd be embarrassed to drive a BMW around any fire/police station in the country. Just my .02cents worth.

Hmm...tough one for me too!! I LOVE trucks, but my husband has a BMW M3 (FOR SALE) and I loved driving that thing!!! It was so smooth and all the details are wonderful! They really know how to build a car over there

Have you decided yet? If you are looking for a used BMW M3, let me know!! We are selling ours because my hubby had to get a truck for his new job. We hate to sell the BMW, but we can't afford three vechicles. It's a beautiful car....nothing wrong with it...check out this link to a website where he has it posted, with all the details, and some pictures Let me know if you have any questions!!!

Good luck with whatever you decide!!!

Depends on what you want.

The M3 is more expensive, very nice and very fast.

The L is cheaper, very nice, very fast, and perfect for Home Depot/Loews runs.

oh NO!!!!!!!!! My husband would tell you that I NEVER put anything in the back of my trucks. I had a '97 PU once, and I loved it so much, that nothing, not even groceries, went in the bed of the truck!!! I don't know why, but I liked the "show quality" look of her

Now that my hubby has the F250...we have used it plenty of times for Lowe's!!! He doesn't mind. I still cringe everytime, even though it's his truck, and there is a bedliner..LOL

Hehe I always take the Wood grocery shopping. I've even had dirt, stones & other gardening supplies back there. Not to mention the Fisher Price playplace that was so big I couldn't shut the lid at all. BTW, I have a stroller & my helmet back there at all times.

As for the origional question... get the L!

Lightnings spank M3's in a drag race quite handily. Nuff said.

Get the American designed, American engineered, American muscle the Ford Lightning. Germany may know how to build a quality car, but then again they don’t have any REAL men to begin with so you could go with the wussie and gay designed BMW, yes nice quality but you never know what your going to find in the back seat, could have been a German man and a French man back there for a little, shall we say, meeting…

After 9/11 I don’t even like lemonade any more, must be the color yellow and France…
