That was a great game

Wonder what part of the parking lot the parade will be in?

It was a great series. **** poor that they started to celebrate the win before the final buzzer and then the crowd booing Jean Sebastian for winning the Con Smythe.

do not mean any disrespect here, but the only way that could be considered a great series would be if you were a devil fan.

they have developed a style of play that wins. that is good. watching it is not. unless you had a 'vested interested' in pulling for them to win, i dont see where the draw was to qualify this as an exciting series of games.

most of them i turned off by the third period. the devils would gain center ice and dump the puck (for fear of being caught short). when the finally got a goal up, they smothered the other team.

again, you cant argue with success, and if they were 'my team' i would have been pumped. this may also be part of the problem they have with drawing attendance at the arena, its just not good eye candy.

my hats off to them though for playing rock solid hockey and bringing home the cup.

Actually I am an Avs fan. I like to watch hockey tho whether my team is playing or not. I was hoping for the under dog to take it which they put their heart and soul into. Just couldn't pull it off.

**** poor, maybe and probably.

But the booing of Jean Sebastain wasn't directed at him. He is a fine goaltender, but the Conn Smythe, is suppose to go to the MVP of the playoffs.
Brodeur posted an NHL record of seven shutouts in the postseason, including 3 in the finals against the Ducks. That sure sounds like the best goalkeeper in the playoffs to me!
And I might add Broduer won the Vezina Trophy as the NHL top goalie. So if he's the best, he had to be the best in the playoffs, get my drift?

...and THAT is spoken from a Rangers fan. I'm happy that Marty finally won the Vezina. Jiggy played well in the playoffs, but as Gator said, 3 shutouts for Marty in the finals and 7 total in the playoffs. Sure, they are a defensive team, but Marty is still in goal. It's not like Potvin was there...

I hear the Rangers are looking at Jagr. They gotta drop some serious coin on him, and they already have a high payroll. Jagr will be happy because he'll be closer to Atlantic City. I used to see him down there all of the time playing Pai Gau Poker at like 30K per hand.
