I was not sure exactly what discussion area this question fell under... but is there any way to find out when the build date was for my 1998 F-150? Thanks a lot... just wanna get my baby a birthday present on it's b-day.

 

Have your VIN number ready, and call Ford at:
USA......1-800-392-3673

Request a build sheet, and they will send you one.

So, just as simple as giving them a call? I had no idea that it was that easy...

What types of information will the spec sheet entail?

 

I'm on hold with Ford right now, and the lady I'm speaking with said that build sheets are only available for 1967-1992 model years. She was able to give me my build date and warranty start date, and now she's checking on some warranty coverages for me. HTH.
