c6 corvette (pix)

Here's one testing.

Can't wait to race.

Fastback like it used to be in the 60's

Higher curved back, higher curved front.

Looks like shorter front and back ends.

Note door handles.

Larger wheel wells.

BUT WHAT ABOUT THE ENGINE???????

k

Hard to tell, but it doesn't look THAT much different than the C5. I was hoping for more of a change.

pics

This site has most of the spy photos taken to date, plus some good photo chopping of what the actual car will look like based on the pictures.

I also heard the base C6 will have 400 hp (just enough to be more than the Cobra). All rumors though.

6.3L LS1 stroker making 450/450.

If the price is right, it's gonna be hard to pass on buying one.

One dealer told my dad the price wasn't going to be so nice. He said around 60-70 grand! Who knows though, probably just pressuring pops to buy a current one now.

The link that Roadster69 has, the 7th picture down, really shows it better.

Like samiam513, I too thought it looked like the C5...but if you look at the 7th pic you can see how much higher the back end comes up to meet the extended fastback glass.

That license plate goes into the back end's cover a good 6 inches so I think it really does not extend back as far as they want you to think it does. The back and front overhangs are less.

As they say in the car design business..."It's evoultionary, not revolutionary."

I've heard that it is smaller than the C5. Either the girl putting the cover over the car is one big Amazon, or the car is smaller.

As for 60-70 Grand. I highly doubt it. I can't imagine a Chevy being able to sell at that price-point, regardless if it's a Vette or not.
