Bought the new Metallica today...

Are they trying to punish me for downloading MP3's, or just trying to make sure no one downloads this album...?

I thought it was kinda like their last album. I've only heard a couple songs, but they weren't terribly satisfying if you know what I mean.

Ban metalica there a bunch of gay guys who blame us for there records not selling. I mean I am sorry there getting old and no one wants to hear there stupid crap. Its about like Madonna she hasn't came out with a really good song since the 80s. Then when her knew cd comes out and know one buys it she puts a bunch of loops on the internet cussing at us. If you bring riaa into the picture they wanna ban the sale of mp3 players. There is a dollar or two tax on every cd burner sold. I would like to know if any artist has ever seen a dime of it. Eminem records have been released on the internet weeks before his cds have come out in stores and he is still breaking record sale records. They make more than the movie industry and they still aren't happy. We shouldn't be to blame for you slipping sale figures. The economy ain't that great right now and aren't makeing as much as they were. That is life. In a perfect world we would all be millionaires and I hope it comes to that one day.

they gained alot of fans when they came out with the Black Album but us real old school metallica folks like it heavy. ill take kill em all and ride the lightning. i just thought about that album name (ride the lightning). maybe thats where the name of the L come from. cause like the album it is heavy and fast.

I may be the oddball here, but I have liked everything Metallica has done, until now. I'm not real crazy about Kill 'em All, but it's got some good stuff on it, but still everything else is great IMO. But this album... there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to any song...

I don't know what's up these days. Even Mr. Manson's new CD kinda left me hanging, but at least there's a few songs on there that kick @$$... I guess it's time for Trent Reznor to show 'em how it's done again!

Metallica is legendary. Their sound is unique. I consider them my favourite band by far.

Justice was their best album by far. So many melodies and very heavy.

In close second we have Master and the Black Album.

Then we have Ride the Lightning (Fade to Black, freaking great song).

Kill 'em All was pretty good, however the sound was too raw.

The newer stuff is ok, S&M, Load, Reload, St. Anger, etc... but they lost their touch.

They are coming to Toronto and I am seeing them on the 5th of July. I'll tell u guys if they can still rock or not!

Ever since napster and the whining I kinda lost interest.

I still play my Master of Puppets, Black , and Justice for all CD's. I have not purchased or even dloaded anything new.

I checked out the new album yesterday at Bestbuy...I
wasn't very enthused with it. In my honest opinion...
it sucked. I'm a huge fan and this album was a letdown
for me. Oh, well...I'll just keep listening to the oldies.
