one week tommorrow.....

I've had the truck('03 XLT X-Cab) and it is a lot differant than the '97 was..braking gets a big mention,,compared to the '97 it stops on a dime ..it's a good feeling...seats are real nice and I don't get out with numb legs and cramping back...long trips could be a challenge not dozing off in those recliner feeling captians chairs...the tranny is smooth shifting without the hesitation the '97 was getting...downside are the passenger door rattles and knocks like something is rolling around in it and it's seems like it is not closing all the way and the door juggles(like jiggles)..the stereo is 'no bueno da kaka' gonna change that after the seat covers go on ,they are soft and all but look like they could attract dirt and stains in Antartica...unfortunitly I ended up with the 235's for rubber and thats gonna change too..feels like I could just skip off the road at any second...bet the '04's don't go lower than 255's..besides my wifes Exploder has the same tire so I'll wrap 'em and save 'em for her..gonna put the second coat of #26 on this weekend and mod the air box plus 303 the interior and body trim and of course the engine trim..I've already got 600 miles on it so the 5X100k warranty was a good idea(600X52)..the new Delta flows sound so good that the factory sounds are off most of the time...can't afford an divorce? don't feel like hassling with a girlfriend on the sly?need a new love in life? get a new truck..I did

That's a really good comparison head to head with the 97'.

Obviously, you're tickled pink with this truck but surely there's something that you miss about your 97... any confessions?

*nods*...

I understand letting go of a vehicle.

I know it sounds stupid but, letting go of my 1990 Geo Prizm (which was my first car) was very difficult. Lots of memories in that car (mainly in the backseat-ROFL!)

*sighs*

I'm getting old...

Okay... so it was easier in the front seat with it layed all the way back...

LOL... you're right... the backseat was basically useless.... just a good place to throw the clothes so they didn't get all waded up down in the floor board...

Damn... those were the days. I miss High School...

The carpeting matches the drapes.

BTW : No **** carpeting, a nice Berber is always a good choice, unless you are a linoleum type of person.
