Thumbs up People

I have been a member for of this site for 3 days, posted 5 or 6 threads, and I have gotten responses back in just hours, it seems. I posted something like this in a reply to RP just a few minutes ago, but I will say it again. I have NEVER come across a group of people that don't know you from Adam that are as willing to lend a bit of knowledge and a helping hand simply because someone has a similar vehicle to them. I am not one to sit around and blow sunshine up people's ***** (forgive me, I live in England), so from the bottom of my used ford owning heart, THANKS!!!

aliceal:

Most of the people here are quite nice and helpful.
Some of us are insane but nice.
Some of us are aliens (from outside the solar system).

Are you near Southhampton ?
As a kid grew up on military bases in England.
I have many very fond memories of England...the people...
the history...the culture.

I guess you haven't received the bills in the mail yet huh?

This truly is an excellent site with a lot of people who have just a ton of knowledge. Sometimes you will get answer quickly and sometimes be prepared because it may be days to get an answer. All depends where you post the question. People are usually very good about letting you know if there is a better thread to post a question to.

Welcome and good luck…

Alright then, Adam. Where abouts in HMs fine country are you located? As you can see, I am down in Cornwall. Not too far from the Pirates of Penzance (ARRRRRR!) I have found it to be an absolute nightmare trying to get the truck around these roads with all the hedges I am currently trying to figure out how to post a picture to my signature...Hope to have it figured out sometime this side of Guy Falks day!

Alice,

You've found a super bunch of folks. We're glad to have you as one of our own...

Feel free to ask any question that you can think of... I'm pretty sure that someone here will know the answer to each and every one of them...

Welcome aliceal.

Yeah this is a great website especially for f150 owners outside the US and Canada.

I have a question for you English guys.
I have got a question from someone from England about right hand conversion.
Probably not many ford trucks in England but can you get right hand converted f150's in England or do you know what it will cost, have you got adresses where it can be converted etc.
Are your trucks converted to right hand.

I know you can get converted trucks in Australia.

I am in the Navy stationed over here in England and I have a lefty drive. (That way I can take this bad boy home!!!) I have no idea about the conversions. I have seen a late model (99-02) right hand drive chevy blazer running the streets over here. So basically, I am of absoutely no use to you. Sorry.

One thing I do need help with is being able to put a #$!%&^* picture in with my signature!!!! I hate computers. I have been looking around through some of the threads, but I cant figure it out.

Talking got it...

I figured out my signature. I will have to shrink it down a bit, but that can come tomorrow. Gives me something to do then. As for the right hand drive conversions, I will make a phone call on Monday to see if our personal property guy on base knows anything about that for you Europe.

I'll agree with you there. I'm an occasional poster and after the tornado a few weeks ago, a few posted to see how I was cuz they knew I lived in the area that it went thru.
Good people.

I am up on the East Coast of Norfolk, near to Gt Yarmouth.
It's a long way from you unless you happen to be part Canadian which would make it "Just down the road, eh"

F150Europe

Never seen anything converted to right hand drive over here. There is no legal requirement( unlike Australia) to do so.
I should imagine that it would be pretty expensive to have it done professionaly.
Chevrolet does officially import vehicles into the UK and did make them RHD but the F150 is not an official euro import. (Boo)
You can get a RHD Explorer over here though.
Maybe some of those parts would fit if you really tried.
