Paint Ball

Hey

I was just about to purchase a couple of Tippmann 98 Customs for myself and my wife as we love paint ball and decided to make it our week end deal, however I thought Id get some feed back before I did from here as this is a pretty trusted palce for honest advice from trucks to boobies, god I love boobies, any how anyone have any experience with this weapon? All the reviews say its excellent and I dont really need a 250 dollar high velocity paint ball deployer and marker system. :|

I've never used one, but I have only heard good things about them. I guess that would be a plus.

Swofford, the Tippmann 98's are a excellent first marker. One of my co-workers have one and have done some upgrades to it. My co-worker told me that if anybody would get one he said that to get

#1 Get a Palmer Regalator
#2 A new Bolt/Valve body
&
#3 a different Barrel

I have shot both a stock Tippmann 98 and my co-workers hopped up Tippmann. I have to say the upgrades he has done to his have greatly enhanced his markers capabilities. The stock Tippmann is ok if you just only go out and play once or twice a month. But if you play more than once or twice a month, I would suggest the upgrades. Hope this info helps you.

Serotta; I really don't know a whole lot about the Black Dragun.
I'm playing in this league this year and there is a guy that is useing one. From what I've seen this little marker is a nice first electronic marker. The size of the Spyder and not to big. I started with a Spyder and now shoot a LED Cobra Angel.
You mentioned that you are getting some other gear with this deal also. The DYE Boomstick is about a $100 dollar barrel by itself. If I was in your shoes, I would go ahead and purchase the package deal. I'm not sure how much the Dragun cost by itself so I can' t really compare the price range. Hope this little information helps you in your decision.

P.S. If you or anybody else has any questions let me know and I'll try to help anwser your questions.

PBALL,

Thanks for the reply. The gun belongs to a friend's teenaged son who need the money for a car. He claims he's got 5 or 6 hundred dollars tied up in the gun and equipment. I'm getting it for my 12 year olds birthday and was trying to eliminate some of the lowend markers that he would want to replace as soon as he got hooked on the sport. Thanks again, I may contact you when he begins using it next week. I know nothing about them and I'm sure what ever he learns will be used to leverage me to spend more money.

Keep on truckin'

john
