that prelude went to the dyno yesterday
I thought you guys might be interested in this. Y'all were nice to us when we posted before and we ended up making some friends-- so I figured this wouldn't be totally out of place.
We finally got a chance to go to the dyno and tune the prelude yesterday. We were happy with the results-- remember these are prelude numbers....not Lightning

I have three points to make:
1) Those are great FWHP numbers for any import...that means it is making close to 300 at the crank in a car that weighs less than 3,000lbs.
2) I VERY much admire the fact that the car is a sleeper (stock rims, no graphics and no body kit or mile high spoiler). I have often said (much to the ill will of my domestic driving colleagues) that import cars can be cool...if they are done tastefully (which this particular Prelude is).
3) Now that it is respectably fast....CLEAN THAT THING!!!!!
I am a detailer by trade....and it breaks my heart to see such a well done car in less than immaculate condition!!!
All in all...great numbers and kudos to you for showing respect for the L....your Honda has earned respect from me.

Good numbers
but are you a little concerned about the a/f ratio below 3500 rpm? I realize this this is supposed to be revved.. but it looks dangerously lean there..
or am I wrong..

those are great numbers. Just like Mike's02Bolt said, if imports are done up with good taste, they are actually pretty cool cars. My friend has a blue Civic Si with white rims and a carbon fiber hood. To me thats ugly but whatever floats your boat. Hes making 150fwhp and thinks his car will smoke most domestics
I've stated before that I respect just about anybody that mods his or her vehicle, especially if it's done by the owner(exceptions: eng., heads, trans., etc replacement).
I look at the Hondas, etc. at the staging lane as we wait our turn. A well-tuned-modded vehicle is due respect IMHO. Now, when at the tree and the pedals go to the floor, I hope I beat any/all of them

but thats ok. On a dyno the car is driven through the gears in my case until its in 4th gear. While cruising a target airfuel of 14.7:1 is there. When you step on the gas from cruising the injectors flood open and thats why it dips down really low. Then vtec engages at 3600rpms and it breathes a lot better and the fuel curve comes up. Thats why if you look at any dyno they dip down at the start, but now you know and learning is fun!
thanks to everyone elses positive feedback
