On my last fill up over the weekend the regular was $1.42 That is about the average for this area. I saw a few stations riding around town that had regular at around $1.35-$1.39. That is about as low as it usually gets. That tank was probably the first time in several months I filled up with less than $30.00.

A Few Statistics

About 50% of the oil consumed by the United States, is produced in the United States, this means 50% MUST be imported from elsewhere.

Where does the other 50% comes from?

* 51% comes from nations in the western hemisphere (Canada & Mexico mainly)
* 21% comes from the middle east
* 18% comes from Africa
* 10% comes from other countries

Does boycotting middle eastern oil really accomplish anything?
At the present moment, America needs Saudi oil to maintain it's current demand, someone correct me if I'm wrong here, but boycotting would seem like a rather moot point.
Theoretically, if every American refused to buy Saudi oil, then about 10% of everyone will be walking to work.

I say buy the cheaper gas, you're only hurting your own wallet.

Let the debate begin!

I agree

Habibi; i agree with you buy the gas that's the most reasonable and let's all be reasonable.... How do you know what gas you are buying just because it says one thing don't mean its not another... Just be glad its still under 2.00$ a gallon dude...

...but can someone explain why diesel is more expensive than regular??? I swear the truckers must be getting unmentioned discounts because they are not running on DC in protest. Diesel should be cheaper than regular.

Diesel has been cheaper than gas around Tulsa the last month or so. Gas just dropped to $1.26, so now gas is less.

I say use up all of "thier" oil first, then we'll still have plenty of our own for decades to come.
